Should you be worried about imported sunbed from Eastern Europe?
It has come to our attention that in recent months a number of certain companies on the UK market have been particularly vocal about cautioning potential buyers from purchasing beds from Eastern European markets such as Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and so on.
The reasoning behind the claims often centre on the European sunbeds having ‘too high electric, which is not suitable for the UK market’; ‘the voltage of these much is much higher’; ‘they are not safe’ or questioning the overall quality of these beds.
Should you be worried? The short answer is no. All branded sunbeds by top manufactures such as Ergoline, MegaSun, Luxura and others are manufactured in Germany or Italy, under strict regulations so they are compliant, and most importantly safe to use in all countries.
It really does not matter if the sunbeds are imported from Germany, Poland, the United States or even Australia; as they must be complaint with EU regulations on safe tanning, and most importantly electrical safety.
Also, it is important to add that the electric supply across all EU countries is uniform, thus having a sunbed not suitable for the UK electric is simply false.
